The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) announced this week funding for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects which included funding for Homeport’s Hamilton Crossing in Whitehall. Included in the 11 million dollar 64 apartment senior housing project are 6 fully accessible apartments which are set aside for seniors with developmental disabilities. Creative Housing CEO Patrick Rafter commented “we have been working with HOMEPORT for several years on this project. They are an experienced and thoughtful developer and we are ecstatic that OFHA has funded the project. It is a cost effective way to provide much needed integrated and accessible housing to the DD community”.
Construction is projected to start next summer with a completion date of approximately the summer of 2017.
