  • Prioritize and perform tasks independently with minor direction

  • Previous experience in home or apartment maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing and electric
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Reside in Franklin County
  • Have a valid driver’s license and have ability to maintain company insurance coverage, including age minimum
  • Pass criminal background check and Drug Testing
  • Own standard set of hand tools to perform
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Reading tape measure and basic instruments and follow direction with only limited assistance.
  • Read a road map or equivalent, in determining the most efficient route for getting to job sites.
  • Ensure that all equipment and vehicles are maintained and/or serviced in accordance with specifications.
  • Perform limited home maintenance, including but not limited to cleaning dryer vents, changing furnace filters, changing smoke detector batteries, clearing drain and waste lines, running underground downspout lines and securing premises after sustained damage to a property.
  • Perform simple carpentry work such as hanging curtain rods, patching asphalt and changing out locksets.
  • Repair, remove and replace all standard home appliances.
  • Submit daily job log and/or work order documentation with written and pictorial documentation of the progress of each project.
  • Perform limited job laborer duties including but not limited to residential demolition, minor asphalt work and minor concrete work.
  • Operate various trucks up to 26 feet long in confined spaces.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • The employee must be capable of lifting 50 pounds on a limited basis.
  • The employee may, on a limited basis lift and/or move up to 75 pounds using assist equipment such as a dolly, moving straps and lift gate.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, kneel, crawl, crouch (75 percent of a day),
  • Climb and stand on ladders up to two-stories high while performing repairs,
  • Perform various types of manual labor.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
